Morocco Strengthens Cultural Festival Calendar to Support Year-Round Tourism
Morocco has unveiled an expanded cultural festival calendar for 2026 as part of efforts to stabilise tourism throughout the year. The Ministry of Tourism confirmed that cities including Marrakech, Fez, Rabat, and Essaouira will host a series of music, arts, and food festivals across multiple seasons.
The initiative aims to highlight Morocco’s cultural diversity while reducing reliance on peak travel months. Coastal destinations will focus on food and maritime heritage, while inland cities will expand music and crafts festivals linked to historic quarters.
Tourism officials said festival based travel continues to attract international visitors seeking cultural immersion. Local artists, musicians, and food producers are expected to benefit directly from increased attendance.
