The Nigerian Hotel and Catering Institute (NHCI), the flagship of Professional Services to the Hospitality, Catering and Tourism industry in Nigeria is set to hold her 15th Annual General Meeting and 39th Hospitality, Catering Professionals and Practitioners Conference with the theme: “Hospitality & Tourism Industry in the New Normal: Strategies for Sustainability” on 15th – 18th November, 2021 at Etal Hotels, Kudireat Abiola Way, Oregun, Ikeja Lagos.
This was disclosed in a release signed by NHCI Secretary, Mr. Victor Olanrewaju Kayode, FNHCI.
The Conference is an annual program that brings together all the Caterers, Lecturers, Nutritionist, Housekeepers and Hospitality Practitioners in the industry, Hospital, Corporate organizations and Educational institution to review modern trends in the practice of Hospitality and Catering in Nigeria.
Kayode stated further, “Our annual conference is an assembly of Professionals looking into the various aspects of Hospitality, Catering and Tourism development. It is also our usual avenue to review current and prevailing government policies as its affects the industry and practice”.
Kayode disclosed further “To demonstrate the Institute’s responsiveness to the needs of its stakeholders and encourage members of the Profession to have adequate and technical knowledge and skill in the drive towards maintaining professional excellence, NHCI under the resourceful leadership of the National President, Mrs. Bola Dada, FNHCI have also highlighted sub-themes on “Operational challenges and strategies for harnessing opportunities; Security and safety complications- A proactive approach; Onboarding innovation and technological interventions in hospitality operations; Review of sustainable environmental policies and impact on tourism and hospitality operations; Exploring Financial opportunities and its sustainability and Welfare catering – A paradigm- Post-Covid”.
“New Practitioners into the Professional Membership grades shall also be inducted at the event while Fellows & Corporate Members Luncheon will hold with the Investiture of the new President for early 2022 to equally review governmental policies affecting the sector & practice”, Kayode concluded.
